Ausgangslage
As part of the expansion of the National Road 66 leading north from Pécs, the provision of slope protection against rock fall was put out to tender. Due to the fact that traffic should be impeded only minimally by the installation and that the contractor Gradexpresented an offer that was convincing both technically and commercially, the contract was awarded to this company at the beginning of October 2011
Massnahme
This 5000 m² installation was the first time that the contractor installed DELTAX® mesh. Due to its low weight, a smooth unrolling and fast shortening of rolls, as well as an easy splicing of rolls, a quick and unproblematic installation was possible. Subsequent to careful preparation of the site, it was possible to lay and secure all 5000 m² in just two days. This not only saved costs for the contractor but also impressed the road authorities.
