Initial situation

The road section of Brunnenbergstrasse is lined on the mountain side by steep rock faces. Rocks have to be cleared from the road regularly, especially in spring and summer.

Description

Due to the tight space between the rock face and the road, and for cost reasons, the engineer and the client opted for an attenuator solution. Individual stones, which will continue to come loose in the future, fall to the edge of the road at the foot of the rock face. This prevents damage to people or the road. Escaping water can flow off without any problems.
