Geobrugg TECCO® CELL is a durable solution for protection of coasts against erosion. It can be easily adapted to a wide range of local requirements. It is based on a specially developed arrangement of cells which are made from rolls of stainless high-tensile chain link mesh directly on site. Simple, fast and without waste of material. The system is easily adapted to suit the environment, with planting etc. if necessary. This is in contrast to existing solutions such as rock armour, that change the landscape completely.

What is the difference between TECCO® CELL and TECCO® CELL MOBILE?
TECCO® CELL is installed in situ and is ideally suited for shoreline protection, riverbanks, and sloped revetments where geometry varies, and natural integration is desired.
TECCO® CELL MOBILE is a prefabricated system designed for hydraulically highly loaded zones, enabling rapid installation and consistent quality in areas exposed to strong currents or wave action.
How do TECCO® CELL systems prevent stone displacement under extreme hydraulic loading?
In our TECCO® CELL systems, stones are fully confined within high-strength wire cells. This creates a composite structure where hydraulic forces act on the entire mattress rather than on individual stones. Even under high wave impact or strong currents, the stones remain locked in place. Our prefabricated solutions serve as finite elements themselves, whereas TECCO® CELL is conceived as a monolithic structure along the entire installation length with integrated small compartments.
