Slope Stability
Initial situation

At the end of 2013 a major collapse of the slope interrupted traffic on the transit route T350 that connects the city of Valdivia with Niebla.  The slope failure alerted authorities of the region. A sustainable protection of the road had to be found.

Description

Geobrugg and MOP authorities proposed a slope stabilization with TECCO® System (soil nailing), combined with the TECMAT® erosion control mat for the greening of the embankment. Since then the stability of the sector is given and traffic never again had to be interrupted slope failures.
