Description

Heavy rainfall caused repeated landslips, sending loose masses of earth down onto the B462 highway. The slope was dimensioned with regard to overall stability (lower slip surfaces) and to combat surface instabilities. First of all, several heavily weathered areas of the slope were secured using shotcrete seals. The high-tensile TECCO® System mesh was then combined with the dimensioned nail grid and installed. To protect against lose rockfall from the upper area of the slope, the edge of the TECCO® System mesh was elevated on the mountain side using a bracing rope mounted on posts.
