Initial situation
A constant flow of debris and sludge is ever-present in Quebrada La Melgara and kept threatening the city of Melgar in the department of Tolima. The city's administration had installed box culverts. Deposits of sludge and debris eventually covered these, continuously spilled into the city thus destroying homes and streets.
Description
A Geobrugg UX barrier was installed to retain debris and sludge; protecting people and infrastructure in the city of Melgar.
