Slope Stability - Wägitalstrasse 2007

The slope stabilization was implemented within a very short period of time - visible TECCO® System pre-tensioning thanks to dells around nail heads, minimizing thus further deformations

Perfectly installed TECCO® System - the slope overlap ensures the best forces transfer

Year of installation

2007

Initial situation

After landslides in the Rötentäli area and the emergency blast of loose rock in the Gfell area, the access road to the two municipalities of Vorderthal and Innerthal in the Wägital was closed in December 2006.

Geology

Residual soil/coluvium.

Description

In order to protect the road from further landslides, approx. 500 m² of TECCO® System have been installed. TECCO® G65/3 mesh made out of high-strength steel wire was fastened with self-drilling anchors, using system spike plates.
