Initial situation

This 7 to 8 meters high slope was cut in order to build a private house. Due to the geotechnical data, the slope should have been stable at 40 degrees and  up to 4.9 m. When the owner installed the pipes for a geotermal pump on top of the slope, the slope began to fail.

Description

Geobrugg designed and delivered a complete protection system. The solution was a standard soil nailing together with GREENAX® mesh. A total of 229 m² were stabilized using 40 soil nails R32.  They were installed in the pattern of 2.50 x 2.20 m.
