Initial situation

A long and steep culvert under the DW971 in Southern Poland needed frequent cleaning. Also, debris coming down the mountain stream during storms and torrential rains menaced the culvert.

Description

Geobrugg's VX ring net debris flow barriers were chosen because:
- they are easily adapted to the terrain
- they reduce works in winter and
- they reduce concrete stabilization works.
