Initial situation
In this warehouse, pallets are stacked next to walkways and transport routes. There was a risk that the stacked pallets would collapse during stacking and unstacking.
Description
After a detailed design study, Geobrugg planned and installed a protective mesh fence between the storage yards and the transport lanes. The total length is 150 meters.
Another requirement in the project was to provide detailed documentation consisting of:static calculation, manual, installation and component drawings plus impact scenario calculation.
Subsequent projects in other Opel warehouses were:
- Warehouse K130: total length 50 meters, height 5 meters
- Warehouse K156: Total length 25 meters, height 5 meters
