TECCO® G45/2 STAINLESS holds 270 tonnes at an angle of 75°

31 October 2024

Geobrugg is entering a new round with the globally unique landslide test and retesting complete systems with new components. At the beginning of October, it was the turn on steel mesh TECCO® G45/2 STAINLESS. The mesh stabilizes coarse gravel in a test frame lifted with a giant crane. As the angle increases, so does the nail and mesh load. Here, the TECCO® STAINLESS has held up to 270 tonnes at an angle of 75°.

Elements such as the nails and the mesh are equipped with measuring sensors to document the loads and deformation over time. In this and subsequent tests, Geobrugg tests the suitability of different meshes in various constellations.

The insights into the behavior of all elements also optimize the RUVOLUM dimensioning software, which is crucial for planners who want to dimension the TECCO system efficiently.

The video of the test is on YouTube.
