Initial situation

The area has a high risk of rockfall. Tunnels protect the traffic over long distances. New rockfall protection became necessary after a rockfall destroyed a barrier.

Description

In 2020 an RXE-8000 rockfall protection with a total length of 105 meters and a height of seven meters was installed. Additionally, four Geobrugg GUARDs monitor the corrosion (data are available via a dashboard).
