Initial situation
A private property owner approached Anchor Systems (International) Ltd regarding a failing timber crib retaining wall. The structure was experiencing movement of the material behind the timber soldiers, indicating a significant loss of structural integrity.
Anchor Systems set about designing a solution with their Vulcan Earth Anchors to stabilise the failing wall and minimise future movement of the slope behind it.

Description
Following a site visit by Anchor Systems, the solution involved a designed solution utilising Anchor Systems’ Vulcan Earth Anchor System. This included 50 AS50 Vulcan Anchors installed into the wall at 3m depth and 24 AS-05 Geo-Textile Anchors positioned at the crest to hold the mesh down.
Geobrugg's DELTAX® mesh was then utilised as a facing over the face of the wall to prevent any further movement between anchor positions.
