2019
The State Garden Show 2021 in Überlingen (Lake of Constance) meant an upgrade of the town's existing parks and gardens. Measures had to be taken to protect park visitors from falling rocks.
The steep rockfaces in Überlingen am See consist of molasse, a Tertiary sandstone. Molasse is soft, corresponding to its relatively young age. As a result of a rift valley caused by the folding of the Alps, Lake Überlingen was formed, which was gouged and shaped by the Rhine glacier during the Ice Age.
TECCO 45/2 mesh has been installed. The GEWI nails have been given black protective caps in the areas next to the footpaths, and the threads have all been uniformly back-reamed. In addition, erosion control mats were installed.
Further shoring with TECCO mesh can be found in the neighboring area of the deeply cut leaf ditches along the historic city wall.
