Initial situation
Located just 20 km outside the historic city of Budapest, the iconic 4.38 km Hungaroring has been part of the F1 calendar since 1986. It held the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the former «Iron Curtain». In 2023, Hungaroring signed a contract with F1, which will run until 2032.
Major circuit upgrades are planned until 2026, including a new Paddock Building and renovations to the Main Grandstand and Spectator Zones.
Some of the upgrades are already in progress, such as the new office building at the main entrance and the improvement of the fencing infrastructure.
Description
To improve the safety of the spectators, drivers and marshals, Geobrugg was awarded to deliver the FIA homologated debris fence with 6 meters post spacing and the FIA homologated mobile debris fence.
Geobrugg also provided installation and assembly training for the debris fence systems and the detailed layout design for easy and exact placement of the systems and customization of the fences.
