10'000 kJ Rockfall barrier - tested, certified and installed

Do you remember? In October 2017, we successfully tested our rockfall barrier for impact energies of 10,000 kilojoules and set a world record. Now the barrier is certified and the first system is installed in Austria. We have compiled the facts and links for you.

The world's first RXE-10000 barrier is located in Austria. The system is required to protect the building infrastructure and main access road into Mölltal from the large rock outcrops above. The strongest rockfall barrier in the world is the best suited and most cost efficient solution.

A 25-tonne test block hits the net from 42 meters at 103 km/h. In this test, the RXE 10000 barrier stops a 10000 kJ impact, making it the strongest rockfall protection system in the world. Take a look back at our world record.
