Initial situation

A landslide below the Wiesenbergstrasse in Dallenwil, triggered by heavy precipitation in 2003, threatened the stability of the road. The landslide had occurred due to erosion at the foot of the embankment. It extends to about 3 meters below the road with a cracking depth of up to 1.5 meter.

Description

In order to increase the drainage capacity of the channel below and prevent possible erosion in the foot area, a concrete channel was created at the foot of the embankment. The slope area was secured with soil nailing and the TECCO® slope stabilization system. The slipped area was partially filled with soil. The edge ropes of the TECCO® System were, where possible, directly connected to the concrete structure.

Additionally, an increase in the asphalt minimizes the water input from the road into the embankment.
