Initial situation
The corridor between Bogota and Girardot suffers from stability problems. Descending from Alto de Canecas towards Girardot, there is an area where large blocks are embedded in a fine matrix of soil. The loss of this matrix due to erosive processes considerably increases the probability of falling blocks.
Description
WARCO Geobrugg accompanied the installation of a drape system made of DELTAX® mesh. The system controls detached descending blocks.
