Leading the Way: The BRUGG Group's First Sustainability Report

Until 2024, only a few companies were legally required to publish a sustainability report. However, with the introduction of a new EU regulation known as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), this number is set to rise dramatically. The increase will see the number of companies obligated to report, expand from approximately 11,000 to around 50,000 across the EU. The BRUGG Group will be impacted by this change starting in 2029.

Geobrugg South Africa opened its first high-strength steel wire mesh production facility. The mesh known as TECCO^® is used worldwide for slope stability, rockfall and debris flow protection. It also protects miners on all continents.

Biasca - half a kilometer mesh

The maintenance and intervention center of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) in Biasca, south of the Gotthard base tunnel, was endangered by rockfall, falling boulders and stone splinters. Over more than 500 meters, the entire plant is now covered with a mesh roof.

La ville de Fribourg complète la protection contre les chutes de pierres par une surveillance à distance

La ville de Fribourg sécurise différentes routes situées en dessous de falaises avec des ecrans pare-pierres. Pour surveiller l'état de ces installations, elle installe 16 appareils de surveillance GUARD. Grâce à ce nouveau concept de sécurité, la ville peut protéger efficacement et de manière ciblée les chemins bien utilisés par les personnes en quête de détente.
