Geobrugg installation of RXE rockfall protection systems in Bludenz, Austria.

No terrain too rough

Bludenz in Austria, a small town in the middle of a picturesque alpine panorama, was scene of a spectacular operation of brave Geobrugg technicians and Austrian mechanics. Their mission: installing two RXE rockfall protection barriers on a steep slope with a gradient of up to 150 percent. Even a helicopter was required to transport the 300 kilogram posts up in the air. Two men received the posts, while two colleagues attached them to the ground plates – practically with one foot in the abyss. It really took them only 30 minutes to place and install the posts. Drawing the nets and completing the installation afterwards, was almost like a walk in the park.
