In 2021, a shallow landslide of a slope occurred at Bahía Mansa. This landslide cut off the traffic to Bahía Mansa and left a 50-meter-high slope prone to new landslides. The slope presented a danger for the many tourists visiting the area every year.
Géologie
The slope consists of rock with many fragmentions and clayey zones.
Description
The Ministry of Public Works decided to stabilize the slope with reprofiling and stabilization with the high tensile steel system TECCO G65/3 and 6-meter anchors.
