A two months before the FIA inspection for Grade 1 status, the F1 circuit at Spa-Francorchamps was given several tasks to complete. First, was to redirect the guardrail at T12, which meant the catch fence had to be modified. Secondly, the second pitlane entrance had to be extended in order to reduce speeds near the access for emergency vehicles. Also, the track has been fully booked for the racing season, meaning all work had to be completed at night.
T12: The existing permanent fence was removed, and a mobile debris fence, 3.5 meters high, was installed. Five sections have been placed in the area, adding three to the existing two.
Pit Lane: Much like the pit lane exit in Zandvoort, we used double sided NORDBETON concrete barriers. A total of 44 elements were placed in two nights.
