Debris Flow is a phenomenon that comes with a high destructive force. It often constitutes debris infused water with high energy. The most tried and tested structures designed to prevent or mitigate this phenomenon is a debris flow barrier. In this workshop, we will understand the process of design for Debris Flow Barriers using Geobrugg^® tools like DEBFLOW^® and SHALLSLIDE^®.

The results of more than 25 years of research in the areas of protection against debris flow, rockfall and landslides will be presented. Several applications around the world and in India will be presented, and after a detailed introduction to the online design software, you will have the option to discuss Rockfall and Avalanche Protection methods with the expert. In addition to design, the following topics will be emphasized:
