Its Uphill Esses and sharp elevation changes not only make it a fan and driver favorite but have also established it as a prominent testing facility for the automotive industry.

In 2015, Geobrugg had been awarded the design, production, and delivery of 200 meters of FIA debris fence. In 2021, VIR requested another 160 meters of FIA debris fence to improve further and protect spectators and track operation personnel during events.
