Situación inicial

The builiding of the Hydroelectric Power Station Schattenhalb 1+ placed underneath the Reichenbach waterfalls, was endangered by regular rockfalls.

Descripción

In order to protect the building against rockfall, the roof had to be re-dimensioned and strengthened. The damping system ROCKFALL-X A (including old tires as dumping elements) was used for the economical protection against rockfalls with an expected energy up to 700 kJ on the 70 m² roof area.
