Neckargerach is a town located in southwest Germany between Frankfurt and Stuttgart. From time to time landslides occur along the railroad tracks. Geologists scanned the area and worked in close collaboration with Geobrugg to develop possible protection measures. The project areas were prioritized and completed in phases. In the first phase a total of 1,500 m² TECCO G65/3 was installed by the construction company Feldhaus. During the second phase 15,000 m² TECCO G65/3 were installed. During installation it came appearent that a long section of the slope above the hiking path is comprised primarily of large, loose rocks. The hiking path is only 3 meters wide, therefore the rocks were tumbling over the hiking path onto the railroad. The planer realized that a third installation would be necessary.
Since its completion early in 2015, the third project section is being protected by a rockfall barrier and a additional 1,500 m² of TECCO G65/3. This final phase was installed by a team arrangement between Feldhaus and BuM.
