Jerusalen Canteras is a former quarry in the township Ciudad Bolivar in Bogota. The predominant material is meteorized layers of sandstone and claystone.
The quarry was abandoned and a neighborhood grew up around this slope. With little stabilization, the area was in dangerous condition.
Rockfall menaced the road and the houses at the foot of the slope. Additionally grew the risk of slope sliding. In the crown of the cut, the access road to the upper neighborhoods plus the houses at the top were in danger.

TECCO® was installed in combination with anchors - 8 m long, 32 mm in diameter. The system was combined with anchored walls. To control erosion TECMAT® was implemented underneath the TECCO® mesh.
