2016
The Country Road L201 crosses a steep slope atop of the Alte Steige in Heiligenberg near Lake Constance. It was built leading through the instable slope founded on the local conglomerate Nagelfluh. After a landslide in winter 20142015 the entire area was closed to protect the public from future impacts. During the winter of 2015/2016, work began to stabilize and support the slope and roadway foundation above. The main goal is prevention of a slope collapse because of the long-term effects of heavy spring rains.
The customer opted for a two-part solution. First, the upper two thirds of the slope were secured with TECCO® G65/3 in combination with a jute erosion control mat. Then, to support the bottom of the slope and assure stable footing, riprap was installed.
