Challenged by the available space around the paddock area, the goal of this project was to allow for more space between cars during busy pit stop timeslots. With six new garages being built at the end of the pit lane, the existing pit wall had to be extended by 55 meters. The circuit started construction right after the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix.
Fifteen new Pit Wall barriers were added and connected to the end of the existing Pit Wall. The client opted for our smaller 1.5-meter platform. We had a special transition element designed for a safe transition from the old 1.1-meter platform to the new elements.
The pit lane exit towards the Tarzan corner includes a new 6-meter gate before connecting to the double-sided concrete barriers.
Our scope included the installation of the pit walls, the new gate and the additional mobile debris fence at the pit exit gantry - all performed within two days.
