Situazione iniziale
The Losail International Circuit is a permanent motor racing venue in Lusail, 15km north of the Qatari capital city, Doha. The circuit is 5.419 km (3.367 miles) long and has 16 turns and, most of which can be driven at a high speed. Since MotoGP and Formula 1 will hold their Grand Prix at the circuit, it was essential to integrate safety components such as curbs, run-off and gravel areas for MotoGP bikes and Formula 1 cars.
As the circuit has joined the Formula 1 race calendar for ten years, from 2023 the circuit operator had to renovate the circuit with various safety barriers, including debris fence systems to protect the new grandstands, marshal posts, event staff and buildings.
The new paddock buildings and the renovation works were designed and led by the architect company Tilke from Germany.

Geobrugg delivered a lot of its safety product range at the Losail Internation Circuit as the circuit had several needs to protect spectators, drivers, buildings, marshals and event staff:
