Situation

On October 12, 2014, the first Formula One Grand Prix took place in Sochi, Russia. Geobrugg had been assigned the task of building the fences around the circuit and protecting the 65'000 spectators.

Description

Geobrugg coordinated, planned, produced and supervised the installation. In total, 40’000 m² security fences were installed along the race track in Sochi with panelized Debris Fence, Debris Fences, and Pit Wall Fences according to FIA guidelines.

Swiss TV SRF reported in its business program «ECO» about the project and escorted Geobrugg in the process from production to approval in Sochi. Watch it here (in German only): Geobrugg secures race track in Sochi
