Situation
This section of the Castlereagh Highway is a key route for motorists travelling between Mudgee and Lithgow, and is used by residents, visitors and members of the heavy vehicle industry. A number of rocks have fallen onto the roadway over the past four years.
Description
Geobrugg supplied 7'800 m² of G80/3 mesh. Around 100 tonnes of rock was removed, and more than 61 bolts up to three metres in length and 7,800 metres of mesh were used to cover the slope. The work is now complete and will ensure this important road remains a safe and reliable route, to serve the community and visitors to the area well into the future.
