Sytuacja początkowa
After a period of continuous rain in February 2019, a slope collapsed on the road between Zagorje and Trbovlje. Between 10,000 m³ and 15,000 m³ of rock, debris blocked the road on a 70 meters long section, reaching a height of up to 3 meters. Because of the importance of the road, it was crucial to reopen it in the shortest time possible.
Opis zastosowanego rozwiazania
As part of preparation works, more than 1,000 m³ of material was blasted to remove larger unstable blocks; blasting holes were drilled 20 m deep with portable drilling rigs. Due to very demanding geological conditions, a mesh solution with TECCO® G65/4 was chosen. Left and right side of the slope were anchored with GEWI 40 mm (l=10 m). In the middle section of the rockface, the mesh was installed as a drape system. Concrete walls on the bottom of the slope complete the mesh system.
The road was safe again eleven weeks after the incident, only.
