Australasian Coasts & Ports 2025 Conference

The Australasian Coasts & Ports Conference is the leading regional event for professionals working on coastal and port-related topics. Held every two years in Australia or New Zealand, it brings together engineers, scientists, planners, academics and industry experts to exchange ideas across disciplines.

The conference features technical sessions, field trips, and networking events like a Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner. It offers a platform to discuss coastal engineering challenges and innovations.

The series began in 1973 in Sydney, shortly after the National Committee on Coastal and Ocean Engineering was formed. In 1985, New Zealand joined with its first coastal conference in Christchurch. A separate Ports and Harbour Conference, started by PIANC Australia in 1986, merged with the coastal series in 1995 to form the current joint event.

Today, the Australasian Coasts & Ports Conference continues to highlight the critical role of coastal and port engineering in managing valuable natural and built environments. It remains a key meeting point for those shaping the future of coastal and marine infrastructure in the region.
