Jembatan Samiran road lies approximately 35 kilometers west from Surakarta. The road widening project that connects Magelang and Boyolali cuts travel time and helps to spur economic growth in the area. In the past, the operation got constraint massively by the occurrence of large slope failure, in which one road lane slipped down to the creek. The site is troublesome due to its steepness and geological condition, due to the intense rainy season and frequent earthquakes.

The road engineers decided on a new effective solution, tested and withstanding the harshness of the site, actively and permanently stabilizing the problematic embankment. Quickly and safely installed in respect of the challenging accessibility. Moreover, blending in with nature: TECCO® System.

TECCO® System is a permanent and active slope stabilization system made of high tensile steel wire mesh in combination with soil nailing or rock bolting.

After the stakeout in collaboration with local experts and Geobrugg engineers, five hardworking drilling team completed drilling works in less than four months. Given the demanding weather conditions, this is an astonishing performance.

2'500 sqm of slope stabilization with TECCO® System mesh and hydroseeding were completed within two weeks.


Green Rehabilitator, the expert in landscape & erosion control services from Semarang, executed the hydroseeding.
