The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is the venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix and the Spa 24 Hours and 1'000 km Spa endurance races.
To be able to host more spectators at the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix and other events specific areas will be upgraded to have temporary grandstands. To provide the required safety for the spectators a debris fence installation is a must.
Descrizione
Geobrugg was awarded to provide the mobile debris fence solution to be able to protect the spectators along the newly planned grandstands but also to provide flexibility for future events.
The selected solution offers the highest level of safety having passed the homologation procedure successfully by the new FIA Standard 3502-2018 Debris Fence.
Due to other circuit commitments, the installation took place in the week leading to the 24h race 2018. During the day the fence panels were assembled. During the night (non-operating hours) the installation of the concrete barriers and debris fence panels took place. In a record speed of just three days, everything was completed.
