Resilience, understood as the capacity of a system to absorb impacts, adapt, and recover from extreme events, is a key concept in geological risk management, especially in the context of rockfalls. In areas of steep slopes or tectonic activity, rockfalls represent a constant threat to infrastructure, transportation routes, and human lives. Therefore, designing solutions that not only withstand the impact but also maintain their functionality after repeated events is essential. Some of the most recognized figures in the world of geotechnics in our country will give their vision on the current management of geotechnical assets, as well as their vision on where we should focus our efforts in the future.
