GEO-Summit Switzerland 2025
We are delighted to invite you to the GEO-Summit 2025, taking place from 29.09. – 02.10.2025 in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The city is renowned for its historical significance, medieval architecture, and innovative spirit, making it the perfect setting for an event focused on shaping the future of rockfall safety.
The GEO-Summit 2025, under the theme “From Risk to Resilience: The future of rockfall safety” aims to highlight the limitations of traditional testing methods and showcase the latest research in rockfall protection. It will also introduce a new line of rockfall barriers that provide more customized and effective solutions.
Since 2001, a standardized testing procedure for rockfall barriers has been globally recognized. In collaboration with WSL, Geobrugg has now developed a new testing method to enhance the reliability and precision of rockfall protection systems.
The GEO-Summit program combines expert presentations and a live rockfall test demonstration.
Day 1: Industry leaders and specialists from diverse fields will share insights and the latest developments. Currently confirmed contributions (additional ones to be published online):

Day 2: Includes an on-site inspection and an exciting live demonstration. Networking opportunities continue through our evening programs, providing the perfect atmosphere to connect and exchange knowledge with international professionals.
Day 3: An optional touristic excursion of Appenzell's picturesque streets, followed by a scenic trip to Mount Säntis for stunning views and a taste of Swiss alpine culture.
