Situación inicial
After a rockfall incident, it became of vital importance to secure the slope along district road B236 in North Rhine-Westphalia. The hillside is characterized by weathered, rugged rocks. There already was an old fence of unknown origin but it would never have withstood the expected impacts.
Descripción
The existing fence was a system of 260 meters. It was torn down, and Geobrugg installed a total of five fences GBE-500A and GBE1000A with a length of more than 300 meters. Additionnally, single securing systems were installed to reduce forces acting on the system (anchoring and concrete plug). Three sections of about 60 meters in length were covered with TECCO®.
