Multiple loading of flexible protection systems against natural hazards
13 January 2022, 13:30 - 14:30 / , NO

In natural hazard mitigation, we often deal with more than one process at one site. That can be, for example, snow slides and avalanches in Winter and rockfall in summer or Shallow landslides but also rockfalls or tree impacts in the forest. However, mitigation structures are usually only optimized for one specific load case, and most guidelines for testing consider only one hazard per structure type.

In this webinar, we want to show how flexible systems can be adapted to multiple loading, show cases of multiple loading and present systems where testing for different load cases has been performed.

The webinar shall provide answers to the following questions:
What are the possibilities?
Which are the limitations?
Which input parameters are needed for dimensioning?

We look forward to welcoming you to this webinar and knowledge exchange.
