Initial situation
The project site is situated along NH-513 near Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh and traverses hilly terrain with steep natural and cut slopes formed during roadway development.
There is a high risk to commuters due to frequent rockfalls at this spot.
The slope face was irregular, with visible discontinuities, cracks, and isolated rock blocks.
Description
To mitigate this problem, a protective solution with rockfall barrier was developed. Geobrugg delivered 730 meters of rockfall barriers with the capacity of 3000 kJ and 5000 kJ.
