Initial situation
Trishuli 3A Hydropower project is a 60 MW hydroelectric project being constructed in Rasuwa, Nepal. During the 2015 earthquakes, the dam site and access road were seriously damaged. Construction works came to a complete stop.
Description
After analyzing the identified source zone for the rockfall on the hills above the dam site: A series of four rockfall barrier lines, in addition to an active slope stabilization system, were installed to protect the infrastructure in the valley.
