Flood debris catchment nets - Debris flow barrier VX: A cost-effective solution for narrow V-shaped torrents

Flood debris catchment nets - Debris flow barrier VX: A cost-effective solution for narrow V-shaped torrents

Our flexible ring net barriers are able to withstand significant dynamic and static loads caused by debris flows or mudflows. They have undergone testing and proven their abilities as a complete system in debris flow tests replicating real-life conditions. We offer two different types of debris flow barrier systems, depending on the channel properties. VX barriers are used in narrow torrents and are anchored in the channel flanks using wire rope anchors or flexible anchor heads. This type of structure is suitable for spans of up to 15 m and construction heights of up to 6 m.

Benefits

Complete systems tested

Complete systems tested

Our barriers are the only debris flow protection solutions to have been tested in large-scale field tests under an extremely wide range of conditions.

Simple to install

Simple to install

Lightweight components reduce the amount of work required during transport and construction. Difficult earthwork is not required and the barriers are easy to adapt to any terrain, offering extra time and cost savings.

DEBFLOW dimensioning tool
