Initial situation

One of Switzerland's central motorways runs through the Stelzentunnel near Zurich. Since 2017, the Stelzentunnel (1.6 km long) has been renovated in stages.

A mobile protective fence separates the trafficable lanes from the construction site. One of the requirements of this protective fence was that it could be erected quickly so that the motorway only needs to be closed for a few hours.

Description

Geobrugg optimized the design of the mobile debris fence used at motorsport venues to comply with the requirements for road works in a tunnel. The NORDBETON motorsport concrete barriers have been changed to standard NORDBETON public roadwork concrete barriers. Additionally, the debris fence panels have been extended to the on-site tunnel height and stabilized accordingly. They are telescopic and can be braced in the tunnel ceiling. Das System ist in der Höhe zwischen zwei und vier Metern anpassbar.
