Colluvium soil of sand soil with rock blocks.
The slope at the west portal of the Sendall Tunnel featured rockfall events, which represented a high risk for pedestrians and drivers who circulate daily around the tourist port area of St. George. In addition, at the crown of the slope, there is a Presbyterian Church from the XIX century that has been restored for its historical and touristic value.
The designer decided to install high tensile TECCO® G65/3 mesh as a drape due to it's unique features, low maintenance requirements and corrosion protection.
As a direction protection of the Presbyterian Church, ca. 20 meters long retaining wall was constructed just below, along its western boundry.
