Initial situation
Falling boulders had been observed along this national road in France (RN5 at the level of the Larce rock viaduct). The aging devices in place no longer protected the houses below the viaduct.
Description
The GBE-500A-R rockfall protection barrier was chosen for its energy absorportion capacity. Thanks to this solution, the houses are protected from falling blocks and the access track for the maintenance of the viaduct is permanently accessible.
