Initial situation

Deepening a mine shaft is dangerous. Continuous operation of the shaft during deepening is required. Therefore, installing an artificial shaft bottom was necessary for impact protection at this mine.

Description

The artificial shaft bottom is constructed of three highly durable ring net layers supported by Geobinex steel ropes. Steel ropes are attached to the U-600-16 braking elements. Each net layer is attached to the shaft lining with 24 braking elements.
