Initial situation
Neckargerach is a town located in southwest Germany between Frankfurt and Stuttgart. From time to time landslides occur along the railroad tracks. Geologists scanned the area and worked in close collaboration with Geobrugg to develop possible protection measures. The project areas were prioritized and completed in phases.
Description
In the first phase a total of 1,500 m² of TECCO G65/3 was installed by the construction company Feldhaus. During the drilling and installation above the slope one track at a time was closed while the other line remained operational. The slope was stabilized with boundary rope (wire rope).
