Initial situation
For the town of Haigerloch near Tübingen the district road K7177 connects the lower and the upper town. When a retaining/supporting wall below the road had to be restored parts of the slope were stabilized with TECCO® System.
Geology
Next to a hairpin turn on road K7177, there is a steep rise made of layered limestone with a thickness of up to 0.1 cm. The weather-prone layers consist of steep fractures that cause overhanging layers that have the potential to crash. Shotcrete was not a viable option in these locations due to ecological reasons.
Description
Slopes were nailed and covered with TECCO® System.
