Initial situation

The railroad lines along the Rhine are extremely important for freight and passenger transport. Rockfalls and landslides occur here frequently, which is why the lines are protected by protecting structures.

Description

19 GUARDs were installed on various barriers within two days at six selected locations. This pilot project serves to gain experience with remote monitoring for further installations, including on other railroad lines.
